Take pleasure without guilt

What was that feeling this morning when my alarm went off and I hit the Snooze button, rolled around curdled up in a ball? Happiness. And what did I feel instantly after that? Guilt. For being so lazy and not going for the said run I’ve promised myself for days…

What about last night when I bit into the rich and intense chocolate bar? Yes, pleasure tainted by guilt almost immediately…

Maybe the guilt comes from the fear of others judging us or from the fact that we are the ones judging ourselves. But we’re kind of ruining these pleasures by doing so right?

So, why not try to enjoy those little moments for what they are, simple pleasures. If they make us feel good let’s leave it to that!
